Our Process
- 1
Determine the right entry type
Many nationalities enjoy 30 to 60 days visa-free. For longer stays or multiple entries, a Tourist Visa (TR) may be more suitable.
- 2
Apply for a TR visa if needed
Apply at a Thai embassy or consulate. Single-entry TR visas allow up to 60 days; multiple-entry visas allow repeated 60-day stays.
- 3
Arrive in Thailand
Present your passport and supporting documents at the port of entry.
- 4
Extend your stay
A single 30-day extension can be applied for at a Thai immigration office for 1,900 THB.
Thailand welcomes tourists from across the world. Many nationalities can enter visa-free for a limited period; exact duration depends on your passport and current Thai policy. For longer or repeated stays, the Tourist Visa (TR) applied at a Thai embassy or consulate is often the right tool.
Thailand periodically updates visa-exemption rules and TR conditions. Check the official Thailand e-Visa site for whether you need a visa, and confirm funds and documents with the embassy where you will apply. Visa Siam helps you interpret current rules for your situation and prepare a complete application.
